EXETER, R.I. (AP) — Police have identified a 19-year-old man who drowned near the Arcadia Management Area in Exeter.
The Providence Journal reports that state environmental police say Jeremiah Zarty of Warwick was swimming with four friends on Saturday when he went underwater.
Two of his friends pulled him from the water and performed CPR before emergency workers arrived. Zarty was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The drowning remains under investigation.
