After showing movies for decades, the doors of the Island Cinemas 10 in Middletown will be closing down soon.
The theater owners say they're not renewing their current lease and the building has already been sold.
Newport Pickleball says plans are already in the works to take over this location and create new pickleball courts.
The theatres final day is scheduled to be January 21st.
