They say that the odds of being struck by lightning is very slim. That may be true..if you're a woman that is. The National Weather Service reports that almost 80% of lightning-strike fatalities in a recent 10-year period were men. This may be due to the fact that men typically engage in activities that expose them to being struck (golf, fishing, etc.) during thunderstorms. And let's be honest we, as men, do not fear silly things like lightning. Leave it to women to be afraid..and alive. More on this here.
