Some Notes about the NFL Playoffs....

- The Bengals and Rams combined for 12 losses this season....the most in any SB matchup...(in their defense...more games played..17... this season)
- Local connection to the Super Bowl....Dan Hoard was the play by play voice for the Pawtucket Red Sox from 2006-2010....He now broadcasts The University of Cincinatti football and basketball games and is the radio voice of the Cincinatti Bengals....So Dan calls Bearcats college football games on Saturdays in the fall and then does the Bengals games on Sundays...This year the Bearcats made it to the College Football Playoffs and the Bengals are headed to the Super Bowl....
- Dan also was made famous in a Simpsons episode (Dancin Homer) that included a baseball announcer as a character....The character's name was Dan Hoard....the episode was reportedly written by Dan's former broadcast partner when he was calling the Syracuse Chiefs baseball games.....
