As a huge Van Halen fan of both the Roth and Hagar eras (we'll just pretend Cherone didn't happen), I agree with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony in this clip that 1995's VH album "Balance" was the darkest of the Hagar years, but wonderfully so. Definitely reflected the tumultuous times of the lives of the band members with each other, in their personal lives, etc. The remastered version is even better. Check out Sammy and Mikey reflecting on "Balance" (WARNING: OBCENITIES. NSFW).
