5th Annual Solidarity Ride

The time is near! The 5th annual Solidarity ride is just a few weeks away now.

1) The Providence Canteen - The Providence Canteen provides immediate onsite support to first responders during emergencies and other critical situations. They also volunteer our time in the community. They are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and run solely on donations. All donations are tax deductible. The Canteen operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, rain or shine by our group of dedicated volunteers who operate our 3 Canteen units.

2) RI Cares - RICARES is a grassroots effort focused on creating a socially just community for all Rhode Islanders impacted by substance use. We approach stigma with an intersectional lens and advocate for change.

3) The Shriners Hospital - Care beyond cost. The Shriners are committed to providing the best care for children in specialty areas of Orthopaedics, Burn Care, Spinal Cord Injury, and Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

None of this is at all possible without you! Please consider making a donation to the Ride, Sponsoring the ride, donating a raffle prize, purchasing a T-shirt or simply coming by to cheer the riders on!

In the previous 4 years, you have helped us raise over $85,000 for the most vulnerable in our society. The best part is after we pay for the very raw costs, every dime is donated to the causes. To further clarify, Local 2323 and 99 donate much of that money for the raw costs also...  in other words, whereas we ask for support up and down the coast to help fund this, I don't think it is possible to find another event that raises this much and gives all of it away to the cause.
