2021 can't be all bad! Betty White Turns 99 this Sunday, January 17th!
The legendary comedian turns 99 this coming Sunday January 17th, and despite being in quarantine is pretty optimistic about the affair.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight she joked, ""What am I doing for my birthday? Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting ‘The Pet Set’ re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day."
The Golden Girls actress originally premiered "Betty White's The Pet Set" in 1971. The show featured weekly celebrity guests along with their, at times exotic, pets. While the show only had a short run it did feature a long line of iconic guests including Carol Burnett, Doris Day, Mary Tyler Moore and many others. The show is set to be re-released digitally and on DVD on Feb. 23, just in time for its 50th anniversary just a month after Miss Betty is set to turn 99.
Now for most of us, 99 is a milestone we all hope to see one day, but for this national treasure she said People, "I am blessed with good health, so turning 99 is no different than turning 98.”
