Providence Cooling Centers Open During Weekend Heat

There's a heat advisory from tomorrow morning through Sunday evening for most of Rhode Island. Forecasters say a combination of temperatures in the 90s and high humidity will create "feel-like" temps near 100-degrees.

If you are in Providence- and need help staying cool, the mayor's office is opening cooling center at the following locations.

Mt. Pleasant Library: 315 Academy Avenue, 401-272-0106

Sat: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Rochambeau Library: 708 Hope Street, 401-272-3780
