Providence Man Arraigned In Fatal Dighton Crash

A Providence man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Dighton.

Massachusetts State Police say 57-year-old Paul DeMoura was struck and killed while walking along Route 44 late on the night of April 4th.

The suspect, Michael Laboy was arraigned on Thursday and was given two thousand dollars' cash bail.

The 19-year-old Laboy reportedly told police he thought he had struck a deer.

The vehicle belongs to Laboy's girlfriend.

Laboy, whose license was already suspended in Rhode Island and Massachusetts is scheduled to return to court on May 15th.
