The Block Island Fire Department saved a cow that fell into an icy pond over the weekend.
The department received a call on Sunday afternoon reporting a cow that became stuck in the pond off of West Side Road.
Crews responded to the scene with ice rescue equipment and removed the cow from the icy water.
The cow is doing well.
