Governor Dan McKee has announced a leadership transition at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.
The governor says he has accepted the resignation of RIDOT Director Peter Alviti, who will retire on February 27th.
Robert Rocchio, RIDOT's Chief Engineer for Infrastructure will serve as interim director.
The governor says his administration will conduct a nationwide search for a permanent RIDOT director.
