Thirteen Displaced By West Warwick House Fire

Thirteen people have been displaced by a three-alarm house fire in West Warwick.

Firefighters were called to the home on Epworth Avenue Sunday and when they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof.

Fire Chief Jeffrey Varone says crews had to deal with hydrant challenges as they worked to extinguish the fire.

None of the residents were injured and two of three pets have been accounted for so far.

Then Red Cross is assisting the residents, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
