Rhode Island Under Blizzard Warning Until Tuesday Morning

Rhode Island is under a Blizzard Warning until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting 18 to 25-inches of snow accumulation and winds gusts as high as 75-miles-per-hour.

Visibility may drop below a quarter-mile due to falling and blowing snow.

The strong winds and weight of the snow on tree limbs may down power lines and cause power outages.

State officials say whiteout conditions are expected, and driving will be treacherous and potentially life-threatening so everyone should follow Governor Dan McKee's travel ban, which is in effect until further notice.
