Providence Mayor Updates Snow Removal Efforts

Providence Mayor Brett Smiley says city crews are working around the clock on snow removal efforts, they won't stop until the roads are clear and accessible for all residents.

The mayor says the city received a foot-more snow than it did during the Blizzard of '78 and snow removal efforts for that storm continued for more than two weeks.

Due to the current conditions, Providence Public Schools will have a virtual learning day today.

Curbside trash pick-up in the city is being suspended for the week, and it will resume on Monday, March 2nd.
