MA House Voting on Social Media Ban for Young Minors

The Massachusetts House is voting on a potential social media ban for minors and cell phone restrictions in school.

The bill would require companies to implement age-verification systems and ban kids under 14,

as well as enacting a requirement that school districts prohibit cell phone use during the school day.

House lawmakers are scheduled to take up and vote on the bill on Wednesday.

A similar bill passed in the Senate on a 38-2 vote but did not carry the restrictions for internet.
