Providence Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting.
Police were called to Whelan Road just after 1 a.m. And when officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to the arm and chest.
The victim was conscious and alert when he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police say the victim is in critical, but stable condition.
The search for a suspect and the shooting investigation are ongoing.
