Rhode Island Parrot Rescue Saves 71 Birds From New Hampshire Barn

The Rhode Island Parrot Rescue says 71 parrots saved from a barn in New Hampshire are now safe, warm and fed.

The birds were found in a barn without running water or electricity with some needing medical attention.

The birds include two macaws, a Congo, Amazon, Sunnie and 66 lovebirds ranging in age from one, to seniors.

Rescue volunteers have set up a medical room, cages, toys, food, and enclosures and the birds are getting nail and beak trims.

The Parrot Rescue will be working with other organizations and volunteers to find permanent placements.
