Providence Public Schools will be back in city control by July 1st, and there will be a community forum tonight so the public can share its vision for the future.
The state took control of Providence schools in 2019 after a Johns Hopkins University report documented systemic failures and school system officials say a strong foundation has been laid for long-term success.
PPS officials say the voice of the community matters and can help to shape a stronger, more resilient district for students.
Tonight's meeting takes place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Providence Career and Technical Academy.
