Cranston Police Arrest Drive-By Shooting Suspect

Cranston Police have arrested a Providence man in connection with last week's drive-by shooting on Park Avenue.

Twenty-five-year-old Amsua Bleh was arrested during a July 9th traffic stop on I-195 in East Providence.

He was taken into custody without incident and he's facing multiple charges including drive-by shooting, discharge of a firearm while committing a crime of violence and conspiracy.

"This arrest is the result of outstanding investigative work by our Detectives, patrol officers, crime scene personnel, and our law enforcement partners," said Colonel Michael J. Winquist. "Their efforts allowed us to quickly identify and apprehend a dangerous individual. While this is a significant development, the investigation remains active, and we continue to pursue all leads."

No one was injured in the shooting, but the intended victim's vehicle was hit by gunfire along with another vehicle that was in the area.
