Nearly three dozen people are interested in being Rode Island's first inspector general.
A total of 33 applications were submitted to the Inspector General Independent Advisory Committee by last Friday's deadline.
However, the website rhodeislandcurrent.com reported it is unclear how many hold the certification necessary for the job.
The commission meets tomorrow and has a September 28th, deadline to recommend finalists to the governor.
