The Car Chase is a lost art in film today. The digital hijinks in the Fast and The Furious type movie pale in comparison to the great chase scenes of great movies like Bullitt, The French Connection and of course, Smokey and the Bandit! Will Spielberg honor the greats in what seems to be a green lit version of the Steve McQueen classic? This won't be a remake according to sources but a new movie focused on the classic Steve McQueen character, Frank Bullitt. You'd be hard pressed to find a current actor cool enough to reprise any roll played by the iconic actor so we look forward to seeing who they cast. If anyone was going to take on the task...it might as well be the great Steven Spielberg! Color us excited.
