A video is going viral right now (surprise, surprise) of a McDonald's that has outfitted it's restaurant with McDonald's themed exercise bikes. These are stationary bikes (think Peloton) that are literally in a section of the restaurant.
So why is this video going viral? Well it's not just the fact that this McD's has exercise bikes. It's also that it appears they are encouraging patrons to ride while they eat.
I don't know about you, but I have to space out eating and exercising. For example. try eating a burrito and then getting on a treadmill. The outcome is at least some smelly burps, and at most some further running off the treadmill to the nearest lavatory!
Why on earth is this a good idea? Maybe there's something to burning calories while you're actually eating? I don't know the answer, but this seems wrong.
