Ever heard of a "Clio Award" before? Yeah...me neither! As a matter of fact, unless you work in marketing and advertising, it's ok to not know what a Clio award is. Because it's given to advertisers.
Back in 2014, Jerry Seinfeld won a Clio Award. I'm not sure if it was for his work with American Express or what. Regardless, he won. During his acceptance speech, he proceeded to tell a room full of advertisers "spending your life trying to dupe innocent people out of hard won earnings to buy useless, low quality, misrepresented items and services is an excellent use of your energy."
Although this got plenty of laughs...it was one of the most amazing back-handed complements of all time. You can watch him dig a larger hole in the video below (it's only about 4 minutes...you know you want to!)!
