Diocese Announces Another Round Of Church Consolidations

Two Catholic churches in Warren will be combined early next month.

Saint Alexander will merge with Saint Mary of the Bay on July 7th.

The Diocese of Providence said the merger was based primarily on declining attendance at Saint Alexander.

Parishioners at both churches were told about the merger Sunday.
