You'd think February means nothing but cheesy love stories and rom-coms rolling out in theaters - but this year it looks like everything else gets the nods instead.
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) - February 7th, As soon as Suicide Squad came out it was a matter of time before we saw Harley Quinn back on the big screen....and here it is in all its glory. The trailer gives me hopes that it will top the mediocre at best results that SS got in 2016.
Downhill - February 14th, Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus headline Hollywoods most 'romance' based movie in theaters this month with a non-traditional love story based on a ski mountain/resort. I'll say it doesn't look like a history-altering movie, but I'm intrigued enough to watch it from the comfort of my couch someday.
Sonic the Hedgehog - February 14th, it's finally Sonic o'clock in the theaters and he looks GOOD. (Thanks to the internet shunning the first draft of his character which you can see here) - its another child hood video game coming to life on the big screen and as always...I'm here for it.
Fantasy Island - February 14th, and your yearly "the is the farthest thing from a Valentine's Day movie" release goes to Fantasy Island - people wishing upon wild fantasies out on a remote island take very dark and horrific turns. Bloods, guts and gore: the other Cupid's love triangle.
