The "Overperforming" Snowstorm

So, the weathermen are saying that today's snowfall "overperformed" today (I think the weather folks "underperformed" in their erroneous forecasts), meaning we got a little more than expected. Usually the meteorologists "overperform" with their hyped-up forecasted cataclysmic events and then we experience snowfall totals several inches less.  As much as I hate snow, I almost prefer amounts of 6, 8, 10 inches or more. Days like today are what I like to call "pain in the a$$" snow days - not enough to get you out of work or at least get you out an hour or two early, but just enough to be a pain in the a$$ to have to shovel and to make you have to brush that annoying snow coating off your car.  An inch or so less and maybe it melts in your driveway on its own. But three inches is enough, coupled with cold temperatures, to not go anywhere, necessitating you to drag out the shovel (it's not quiiite enough for the snowblower) and scrape it off your driveway, but it's impossible to get a fully clean shovel job done, as that annoying powder remains stuck and frozen to the asphalt. My conclusion, if it's gonna' snow, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, but if it's just going to be an annoying coating that just complicated the commute, outdoor maintenance, and life in general, just let it effing rain please.
