People Ain't So Bad After All

Faith in humanity....not always easy to find...until recently

The tragedy that struck the Humboldt Junior Hockey team is nothing short of unthinkable...

The response from those in that community  was heartening

The outreach of support from people around the world was jaw-dropping...

_A Go Fund Me page has raised nearly 6 million dollars for the families at last check....donations have come from NHL teams , but the bulk of the money is from just regular people who knew no one from the tragedy, who just wanted to help in some small way....well more than 60,000 people from over 60 countries, many of which don't even have hockey as a sport

_Countless numbers of houses throughout Canada and the United States have participated in the Sticks Out movement....placing a hockey stick at their front door in support of the victims and their families....

This will not bring one of those that died back....but it does send a message to anyone who cares to heed it that people are basically good....and are willing to help....

_I read where the Houston Astros gave a World Series ring to Mattress Mac...the furniture store owner in Houston who opened all his stores for victims of Hurricane Harvey to give them shelter and a bed to sleep on...it cost him millions in inventory...He didn't do it to get a ring....but he sure does deserve one....

Yup, sometimes this world sucks...and it seems like nobody cares...

Well here is evidence that they do....they may not show it every day....but when you really need it....there they are....
