Paul Reflects On The Great Jimi Hendrix On The Anniversary Of His Death

On this date back in 1970 Hendrix went to the Great Gig in the Sky.  I think it's fair to describe him as the most influential guitarist of all time.  Whenever we interview great guitarists the question comes up; who were your biggest influences and, without fail, Hendrix is always brought up. His amazing playing is hard to put into words, his creativity uncharted, his soulfulness so deep.  And, while not overtly political, he made a huge contribution to race relations.  He simply was THE rock god for a generation of white kids!
