There was a big buzz about a 'Nirvana' reunion over the weekend at CalJam. Although without Cobain it seems really awkward to call it Nirvana. I'm one of those guys who gets pissed whenever there's any reference to a Grateful Dead reunion because without Jerry Garcia it rings hollow. And you could easily argue that Cobain was more important to the essence of Nirvana than Garcia was to the Dead. And if you think about it, can you come up with a band that is more dependent on one person than Nirvana and Cobain? If you can then post it below because I am at a total loss! Obviously, Dave Grohl has become a mega-star but his role is Nirvana was certainly secondary. And to his credit he didn't even attempt to take the spotlight by singing Cobain's stuff.
In the video below you got to give credit to John McCauley the leader of the alt band, Deer Tick, who are from Providence!!! Click HERE.
