Ozzy Osbourne says he was in so much chronic pain before his last surgery that, quote, “I prayed every night that I wouldn’t wake up.”  He described the pain in his back this way, you know when you were a kid and you played outside in the snow without gloves and your hands go numb and then you’d come inside and run hot water on them?  That’s what I felt in my back all the time.”  He said the last surgery was so successful that he is anxious to tour again.  Ozzy also said he wasn’t sure he’d do that appearance recently at the Commonwealth Games with Tony Iommi until the last minute.  When Tony suggested they play Sabbath’s Paranoid he thought, “Sure, that song has been playing in my head every day for the last 55 years… I’m not going to forget the f-ing words!”
