Today is the 45th anniversary of Van Halen's debut album. Van Halen was released on February 10, 1978. This first mainstream studio effort from VH wasn’t a hit right away. It peaked at number 19 and that was half-a-year after it was released. Shocking fact: Van Halen’s debut album only cost $40,000 to produce!
