Guns n' Roses bassist has released a three-track EP called "This Is The Song" in recognition of the currently ongoing "Mental Health Awareness Month". McKagan is no stranger to mental health issues, as he has been suffering from pretty severe panic attacks since the age of 16. The title track of the EP, which is McKagan's first solo effort in four years, was actually written by Duff in the middle of an actual panic attack! He credits his acoustic guitar and playing music as an escape to "climb my way out of that hole," and has credited bandmember Slash for being a huge pillar of support over the years.
McKagan says to those who have never experienced such mental health issues to "count yourselves blesssed," and to those who can relate to such struggles, Duff reminds them that, "You are not alone". Check out the video for "This Is The Song" below...
