It's 94 HJY's Kevin. I'm so excited to be watching the amazing Smithfield Little League team continue their historic run tonight in the Little League World Series against West Region.
I grew up in Smithfield, played Little League Baseball there, and was extremely honored in 2016 to be named "The Smithfield Little League Man of the Year". I say this not to boast. Quite frankly, I think the nominating committee had no idea that I've made my adult living for decades producing lackluster radio comedy bits with fart sound effects.
But many of the youngsters playing for Smithfield tonight were probably about five years old in 2016 and may have been in the audience when I gave my Smithfield Little League acceptance speech. And I can only assume that, to have achieved the immense success that they have so far, each and every one of those kids certainly must've ignored every single word I uttered about how to pursue and achieve greatness. Clearly, they never needed my help.
