While the legendary Alex Van Halen has never shied away from partying and touring the world while bashing the skins behind his late guitar god brother Eddie for decades with Van Halen, he's never given a truly intimate account about the life he shared with Ed - their struggles moving to America from the Netherlands as children, finding their musical identities together, and then later finding the kind of fame most rock musicians can only dream of.
Alex is now, with his forthcoming autobiography "Brothers". It's no secret their were fights, struggles with substance abuse, multiple lead singers, etc. along the way. Other members of Van Halen have written books about the VH experience, there have been countless interviews over the decades from all parties involved (many of them resentful and bitter), but Alex promises that this account will set the record straight and be a fitting tribute and love letter to his beloved brother.
The book will be released by Harper-Collins Oct. 22 and is available now for pre-order through many major book retailers. Read the full story HERE.
