A nightmare scenario unfolded overnight Tuesday when a large cargo ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, causing a large span of the bridge and several vehicles to plummet into the Patapsco River below. Rescue crews are on-scene for what was initially called a potential "mass casualty event." As of this writing, two individuals have been rescued from the water with one reportedly being uninjured and the other in "serious condition." The search for other victims is underway, and Governor Wes Moore has declared a State of Emergency in Maryland. Reportedly the crew of the cargo ship was uninjured.
