Wolfgang Van Halen has quickly made a mark on today's music scene with two albums which he wrote, did the vocals for, and played all of the instruments on. Whether you like his music or not, there's no denying that Wolfie has established his own musical identity and has not just tried to be his legendary father, the late Eddie Van Halen, nor has he copied Van Halen's sound to make an easy buck. All of this while constantly being compared to his Dad and while some try to relegate him to living in his father's shadow. He absolutely has some sick chops on guitar, but some longtime Van Halen fans have been a little put-off by his dismissiveness of their passion for the band they grew up loving. He's definitely taken some digs at loyal VH fans. But Wolfie's also been the unfair target of immature, public attacks on him by David Lee Roth. In short, this "Behind the Music" special on Wolfgang should be jam-packed with interesting stuff.
