Tom Cruise Closes Out Olympics with Rooftop Stunt

Tom Cruise helped close out the 2024 Paris Olympics yesterday by repelling from the roof of the Stade de France. Now, don't get me wrong - the height from which he jumped was INSANE and I personally would not have the b*lls to jump off of it even with a safety harness, cable, etc. BUT, as far as Tom Cruise stunts go (i.e. "Mission Impossible" stuff), I found this one a bit underwhelming. I mean, Cruise sets the bar SO high with the craziness he himself does in his action films that I expected a little more here. Then again, I kind of get why Olympic organizers and television networks weren't too keen on having a Hollywood megastar splat onto the stage in front of a live global audience.
