Zeppelin's Classic "Stairway to Heaven" Climbs to A Billion Spotify Streams

Led Zeppelin's legendary song, "Stairway to Heaven", has become the band's first track to get over a billion streams on Spotify. Kind of hard to believe given their vast catalog of monster hits, but it's true.

The song has surprisingly never been released as a single, but it's been the top track on most classic rock countdowns since it was released way back in 1971.

Led Zeppelin long battled a lawsuit about whether they lifted the intro to "Stairway to Heaven" from an instrumental tune called "Taurus" by the band Spirit, and the suit was dismissed in 2021. Although, I have to say, there are some similarities between the "Spirit" tune and the 'Stairway" intro.
