Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has painted a really cool portrait of the late Freddie Mercury, who would've turned 78 today. Wood describes the painting as an "homage to one of the greatest singers in the history of Rock music.” The piece, which is titled “The Mercury,” is being sold as 250 numbered and signed unframed prints for $999. A portion of the profits will go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity that the surviving members of Queen established following Freddie's death from AIDS in 1991. See the painting, get more details, and maybe even order a limited edition copy for your Queen Cave HERE.
