Metallica: Saving Lives, Causing Earthquakes

Metallica are being credited with saving the life of a couple earlier this month, in a roundabout way.

As reported by WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, Virgina, David and Kristin McKee of Goodview, Virgina, planned on driving their 14-year-old daughter to the Metallica show at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virgina, on May 7th. The couple said they generally stay up late watching TV in the front room of their home, but, on the night of the 6th, they decided to go to bed early to get a good night's sleep for the next day's trip. 

Good thing because, at around 2 a.m., a pickup truck slammed through the front of their house and demolished the area where they would've been sitting. The McKee's never made it to the Metallica show, but credit their daughter's love of the band for saving their lives.

That Metallica show is where the band and their audience set off local seismographs during "Enter Sandman." And now the band has released an official video of that performance.
