Onward and (Hopefully) Upward For The Celtics

I predicted Nets in 6. Keep that in mind before you consider making an investment after hearing something coming out of my pie hole.

I know NBA awards are for the entire regular season, but if you had to give out second half awards, Ime Udoka would be Coach of the Year and Jason Tatum would be MVP.

  • We know who the superstars are...but if the Celtics are going to be contenders for The NBA Title....they need to continue to get above-average play from Al Horford and Grant Williams...Remember when the Celtics got Horford back from OKC in the Kemba Walker salary dump....Al hadn't played at all in a long while with OKC and was in the deal to make the salary numbers work.....The Celts got more than they bargained for in that deal....
  • Great win for Boston....but the highlight of the night was watching Nic Claxton miss his first 10 free throws setting a new NBA playoff record...(beating out Shaq's 0-8)...Gotta love the Brooklyn crowd when he nailed his 11th attempt of the night....
  • Kyrie said he and KD have to manage this team, along with the owner and the GM to get back to competitive basketball next season.....a good start might be to take a page out of KD's book and show up for games.....
  • Line of the Night....Eddie House on NBC Sports Boston Postgame Show......"Kyrie, how can you talk about the heavy lifting of the season....you played in 29 games, brother....."
  • If you had a question if NBA refs get directives from the league to influence games to extend series.....Last night should end all doubt.....They aren't usually picking winners of series....just helping each one go 6 or 7 games....If this one got to game 6...the refs would've fouled the Nets right out of the series.....
  • I cannot remember a more stifling defense than the one the Celtics have been playing the last few months....
  • What a difference a year makes.....seems like yesterday the Nets got The Gentleman's Sweep ( 5 games) vs the Celtics and Kyrie was stumping on Lucky and on our souls....Boston in disarray and Brooklyn ready to fly.....And now this....
  • 2nd Round....Milwaukee Bucks in 6......You are very welcome....Glad to help.....
