No one was expecting this. But here it is. David Gilmour and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd have teamed up with Ukranian singer/beatboxer Andriy Khlyvnyuk to release "Hey Hey Rise Up". All proceeds from the song will be going to Ukraniane Humanitarian Relief Fund.
How did Floyd get involved? Well apparently they saw the video of Khlyvnyuk singing the patriotic Ukranian song and decided to get involved. Khlyvnyuk had just recently cut a tour of the US short to return to the Ukraine to join the fight. He was injured during the fighting and while recovering David Gilmour played part of the song he was writing over the phone. Khlyvnyuk liked it, and the recording/video was made.
