It's Jeff Bridges' birthday today so it's a Lebowski kind of day. I'm not sure why but this has become my favorite movie of all time. It was generally panned by the critics when it first came out, they must've been looking for a follow up to the award-winning Fargo by the Coen Brothers but this was SO different no one knew what to make of it. It's one of those movies that gets better every time you watch it and I hate to admit it but I do go back and watch it at LEAST once a year. Jeff Bridges is a perfect befuddled 'dude' but I think John Goodman put in one of the great all-time performances as Walter, the Vietnam vet with some serious issues!!! Each scene seems absolutely perfect, here's a little tease but when you get home tonight, whip up some White Russians and put on this classic!
