There’s going to be a Jimi Hendrix live album released, it’s been in the vault since it was recorded in 1969 at the Forum in Los Angeles. With the release there was a Q and A session with some of Hendrix family, friends and his engineer Eddie Kramer who says that, if Hendrix didn’t die back in 1970, he would have been at the forefront of technology in music. Eddie said he never met a musician with such intelligence and curiosity when it came to the technical side of recording and mixing music. Also in the Q and A, Janie Hendrix says that her late brother was the sweetest man she ever knew, whenever there were family gatherings he’d always want to hear about their lives instead of talking about himself. But, damn - this guy was a genius!
