Paul Reubens, best known as Pee-wee Herman for decades, as well as for some other "unfortunate" incidents involving public indecency, etc., passed away at age 70 this past Sunday after a very private, 6-year battle with cancer. But what was Paul Reubens really like as a person? Throughout his career, it was tough to know, as he very rarely publicly showed anyone his true, private self, opting instead to always do media appearances, etc. as Pee-wee without breaking character.
