Is Taylor Hawkins' Son Shane Going to Take Over the Foos' Drum Throne?

Are the Foo Fighters considering "keeping it in the family" by having late Taylor Hawkins' son Shane, 18, be their next drummer? That rumor is flying around following the band parting ways with Josh Freese last month.

Shane has been keeping the beat in his dad's side band, Chevy Metal. And, last week, during a drum clinic in Newquay, England, he corrected a wrong, saying his dad's favorite song to play was "Low" and not “Aurora,” which has often been reported. He then performed it.

The Foos will return to the road in Jakarta on October 2nd, which would give Shane lots of time to get up to speed if he's indeed being considered.

Remember how Shane kicked some serious butt on the skins at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts a couple of years back? Here he is bashing his way through "My Hero"...
