Live Aid took place 40 years ago Sunday -- July 13th, 1985 (a Saturday) - simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia.

The HUGE concerts were the first cause-driven, satellite-delivered mega event that was broadcast to a global audience of approximately 1.9 billion in 150 countries and raised an estimated $150 million for famine relief.

All these decades later, it's REAL tough to argue that Freddie Mercury and Queen didn't steal the show. Hell, most shows in the history of shows...
